Popular skins that could be added next to Fortnite
by Jessica Scharnagle
Fortnite is king when it comes to skins, especially in their popular crossovers with Marvel, DC, Halo and Star Wars among others, so it’s no surprise that fans are always itching for the next skin release. While all of the following skins are pure speculation or based off of rumors, here are some of the most intriguing skins fans might see in 2021.
Five Nights at Freddy’s
Five Nights at Freddy’s is speculated to be added to Fortnite as a bundle of skins. This is based on a datamine that came up with the code “FrenchFry.” This skin addition might be a stretch, considering the creator of the game himself said that there was no plan for a collaboration with FNAF.
It should be noted that Scott Cawthorn, creator of FNAF, is known to be a troll when it comes to misleading his fans, and that is the reason the FNAF skins have still been on Fortnite players’ lips. In the past, Cawthorn has said things to mislead fans in order to eventually surprise them by claiming a particular game was the last in the franchise or that a game was delayed. Because of this, fans are still hoping that Fortnite will see the addition of the beloved FNAF characters to the battle royale.

Fall Guys
Fall Guys was a hot new game in 2020, and was voted “Best Community Support” for Mediatonic’s Twitter memes and interactions with fans and celebrities alike. The creators of Fall Guys are not shy about blatantly asking franchises to collaborate with them, so it’s only natural that these two games would work together.
A potential collab with Fall Guys has already leaked via data miners. The leak indicates Fall Guys will have some Fortnite-themed character skins and events in their game. Might the opposite also be true?
James Bond
The 25th movie in the James Bond franchise, “James Bond: No Time to Die” is set to come out April 2, and it’s fair to speculate whether the chic tux-wearing spy might be added to the franchise. There have been no data mines or leaks about this crossover, but there has been some chatter online about the possibility of the addition.
While the film has been delayed several times due to production delays, it gives Fortnite more time to make deals behind the scenes to keep the hype alive for the movie.
Spider-Man
Fortnite has several superhero skins already and has worked with Disney to create Star Wars and Marvel skins, so fans are probably hoping that the relationship will only develop further with the addition of Spider-Man.
The next Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a release date in December, so it would make sense to see some Spidey skins added to Fortnite later this year to join Tony Stark, Captain America, Black Widow, Black Panther, Thor and other Marvel skins that are already in the battle royale.
Crash Bandicoot
The creators of Crash Bandicoot have been feeding millennial nostalgia for the past few years with the remaster of the original Playstation games. They’re continuing to ride that momentum into 2021 with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, which comes out March 12.
While the release date is pretty close, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Crash & Co. could be added to the game. There’s a plethora of emotes and weapon skins that could be added too, since Crash has such a deep pool of items from their game to pull from and add to Fortnite.
Resident Evil Village
After Lady Dimitrescu took over the internet when the Resident Evil Village trailer came out, Fortnite would be taking advantage of the momentum created by the tall lady’s fandom. Who knows, her addition to the game might bring Lady Dimitrescu superfan and YouTube star Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach to the game too.
The game is releasing May 7 this year, and that gives Fortnite devs some time to realize how popular a Lady Dimitrescu skin would be among the Fortnite community. Who wouldn’t want to see an almost 10-foot-tall lady in the game running around with scissor hands and then doing a silly dance when she defeats her foes?
