Here are the top events to watch this weekend in esports

Don’t know what to watch this weekend? We’ve got you covered. Here’s a rundown of some of the most intriguing games and tournaments happening this weekend.

League of Legends

The Mid-Season Invitational enters its final stage this weekend with the Knockout Round. On Friday, China’s Royal Never Give Up takes on PSG Talon from the Pacific Championship Series region. On Saturday, reigning world champion DWG KIA face Europe’s MAD Lions. The winners will match up on Sunday to determine an MSI champion. All the matchups this weekend will be best-of-five.

Rainbow Six Siege

The biggest event of the year in Rainbow Six esports, the Six Invitational, concludes this weekend. The upper bracket semifinals take place Thursday, with Oxygen Esports facing MIBR and Ninjas in Pyjamas taking on FaZe Clan. TSM, who finished first in their group and were knocked out of the upper bracket have already advanced into the third round of the lower bracket and will face BDS Esport on Friday.

Rocket League

The North American Spring Major is the final big event in RLCS Season X before the RLCS X Championships in June. The 10 best teams in NA during the spring will be competing this weekend, with NRG, Team Envy, Rogue and Spacestation Gaming all locked into the NA Championship. The other six are still vying to be the final two teams competing to qualify for the NA Championship. G2 and FaZe Clan currently hold the final two spots, but Shopify Rebellion are just behind these two.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty League takes a break from league play this weekend for All-Star Weekend. Some of the best players in the league will compete in a series of 1v1 gunfights, and the casters will select teams of four to compete against each other.

Overwatch

The June Joust, the next stage of the Overwatch League season, kicks off this weekend. Paris vs. Toronto is the first scheduled match on Friday. The top game to watch from the East Region will take place Sunday when the Philadelphia Fusion take on the Chengdu Hunters. In the West Region, the Houston Outlaws matchup against the Florida Mayhem on Sunday will be the game to watch.

Hero pools take effect during June Joust, so you won’t see any Tracer, Sombra, Reinhardt and Zenyatta during any of the games.
