Outlast Gaming win Siege Showdown R6 tournament at Localhost Denver

Outlast Gaming came out on top of the 16-team Siege Showdown tournament at Localhost Denver last weekend. The tournament brought together some of the best Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams across North America, including many collegiate teams, all vying for a share of the $10,000 prize pot.
Outlast Gaming beat 774, a team that included four players traveling from Canada for Siege Showdown, in the grand finals of the eight team single elimination playoffs bracket. F5 Esports beat the Cincinnati Fear in the third-place match. The other four teams that reached the playoffs were Break Room Bandits, United States Army Esports, Oklahoma Christian University and the University of Utah Utes.
The eight playoff teams were determined via a 16-team GSL style group stage in which teams needed to pick up two wins to advance. Other collegiate teams in the tournament who participated in the group stage were Texas A&M, Colorado State, Arkansas State and Utah Red, a second team from the University of Utah.
“Accommodating 80 players isn’t a simple task, but Localhost had the right mix of LAN-savvy and Siege-knowledgeable people on-site to help it flow almost seamlessly,” said Rainbow Six host and caster Jacob "CaliberJacob" Anderson, who was onsite capturing content all weekend. “It created an environment where players could truly perform at their highest potential, and tons of players kept asking ‘when are you going to host another one of these?’”
This was the first of multiple Ubisoft-sponsored LAN tournaments that will be held at Nerd Street’s Localhost venues this year. Another LAN that will be held in Philadelphia will be announced soon.
